About competition

DEWA Robotics Championship is an initiative by DEWA to create a culture of innovation among young generation and future innovators to showcase possible innovative solutions with the key focus on innovation in Renewable and clean energy, water, technology and future. This supports the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to make the UAE among the top innovative nations in the world, and the vision of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority to become a sustainable innovative world-class utility. The challenge is open for universities and schools- students from grade 6 to 12 – across the UAE to build their own robotics under the specified themes. DEWA will provide Robotic kits to all the registered participants and teams. These are equipped with sustainable innovative gadgets, such as solar panels, sensors, chargeable batteries and programmable microcontrollers. DEWA will arrange a visit to each Emirate to distribute the kits, support the participants, and train them on how to build their own robots. Invitations will be sent to the participants in each Emirate about the details of the distribution points, which will include dates, times and venues.
